Tim answered my phone calls with the same excited greeting for 25 years. That, in and of itself, is a testament of his commitment to his family. Aside from his frustrated ramblings, when he was cursing like a sailor fixing something or thinking otherwise, he was an intentional man. I loved how he emphasized being positive, goofy, funny, or whatever else it was just to get me to laugh. For the rest of my life, I will be grateful for the moments spent laughing together like when watching The Princess Bride for the 50th time and Vizzini exclaims, “INCONCEIVABLE”. I also appreciated Tim, my father, for his honest hard work too. Like, once, when he made pancakes for breakfast, he openly admitted to forgetting to add the eggs to the mix as we tried to cut into the hardest, flattest, most frisbee-like pancakes you’d likely ever see. Tim will be missed but, in his wake, he leaves a positive imprint and lasting influence in this world.

Seems like I got my cooking genes & skills from dad. Almost more often than not, I forget to put the egg in the pancake mix!
His laugh had a couple different gears....started with a chuckle, took a pause for a deep breath....then let it rip with a couple of big belly laughs. Miss that.
Can also confirm how hard he laughed at that scene lol. What a great movie. And I loved dad's goofy laugh.
I always looked forward to the "by golly" line, to the point that it was jarring on the rare occasion when he forgot to do it.
I can also confirm how hard he laughed at The Princess Bride, especially the iocaine powder scene with Vizzini!
